To research and develop integrated technological solutions for the global healthcare industry, bringing together medical professionals, carers, and patients in the virtual space to enhance care and quality of life.
We aim to prolong the independence of those living with dementia. We will do this through using intelligent technology designed from the outset with the user in mind.
Carers should be able to ask; ‘what did you have for lunch’, not ‘did you have lunch’. We aim to provide reassurance of the wellbeing of an individual who is living with dementia.
We will provide both independence and reassurance with a product that can provide intelligent, real-time information of the wellbeing of someone close to you.
Alexander formed Alcuris while still studying at Loughborough University. The first product range, Memo, all stemmed from his Grandfather being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, further complicated by type 2 diabetes.
When visiting his Grandad he realised how easily he could forget to do certain tasks; take his tablets, lock the front door, or inject his insulin before eating.
That's when he decided to form Alcuris, a healthcare startup dedicated to connected healthcare. The first product range; memo was created shortly after.
