To prolong independence of vulnerable and older individuals, provide reassurance to their families and carers and actionable insight and data to Local Authorities and care providers.
We aim to prolong the independence of older and vulnerable individuals including those living with dementia. We will do this through using intelligent technology designed from the outset with the user in mind.
Carers should be able to ask; ‘what did you have for lunch’, not ‘did you have lunch’. We aim to provide reassurance of the wellbeing of older and vulnerable individuals including those living with dementia.
We provide actionable insight to Local Authorities and care providers enabling them to allocated resources more effectively and to move from a reactive to preventative approach to care.
Independence, Reassurance, Insight
Alexander formed Alcuris while still studying at Loughborough University. The first product range, Memo, all stemmed from his Grandfather being diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease, further complicated by type 2 diabetes.
When visiting his Grandad he realised how easily he could forget to do certain tasks; take his tablets, lock the front door, or inject his insulin before eating.
That's when he decided to form Alcuris, an assistive living startup. The first product range; memo was created shortly after.
